Providing Assistance To The Hearing Impaired Of Ada County Since 1977

Grant Scholarships For Advanced Education:

  •  Hearing impaired students receive educational grants to further their education and support long term independence.
  • The hearing grants support advanced education in a four year college program or a technical school program.
  • During 2009-10 there were 9 grant scholarships granted.

Hearing Aids and/or Special Equipment:

  • Hearing aids and/or special equipment as basic as audio enhanced telephones is given to adults and children in need.
  • Volunteers screen and refer applicants to certified audiologists, then help fund the cost of the hearing devices.
  • Project Hearing accepts donations of used hearing aids. They may be dropped off at the Thrift Shop during business hours.
  • 18 hearing aids and/or special equipment were donated during 2009-10.
